I read a copy of your work, Section III Generational Separation, and enjoyed it. I wanted to comment on the early longevity of the Patriarchs. First of all, I am a degreed Engineer with a heavy background in Chemistry and Physics. What I am about to say is conjecture on my part but there is Biblical and scientific backup. Also, just for info, I was a devout atheist up until the age of 28. I am about to pass the point where half my life is Christian. There is no mention of the sun and the moon before the flood, (in the context of celestial bodies visible to man). There is only greater and lesser light. We also know that the first rainbow was a sign that God would never destroy the earth with water again. Since a rainbow is only formed in direct sunlight, it is safe to assume there was never any direct sunlight before the flood. This is also backed up by Biblical statements on how the flood started; paraphrased, "the heavens opened ....". I believe that Adam through Noah |

Methuselah did not die in the flood. His name means “When I’m dead it’s over.” Well not exactly that, but something close to that. He was a picture of God’s mercy. When he died the flood would come, and he lived longer than any other human in history. |

If I'm not mistaken, the quotes from Ernest Becker you attribute to his last book, "Escape from Evil" are really from his Pulitzer prize- winning "Denial of Death." |

Great job on your site layout. I too have been searching this very area over and over again but you have done a better job. Are you aware of a possible significance of the numbers in the years, i.e. 9=number of judgement, 10=10 commandments, 365=days in year, 12=number of tribes descended from Jacob/Israel, (Israel(10)and Judah (2)), 777 just before the flood=God's number for perfection, 6=number of man, 30 being 3x10 (3 God's number, 10 being law), etc., etc. I've never run across what the number 8 equals. Also, I stumbled upon something quite amazing by looking up the names of the first 10 names from Adam to Noah in Strong's Concordance and found significance in those names but was stunned to find myself filled with some type of spiritual condition that lasted a little while. My suspicion is there is great meaning in all this if we can ever come to understand fully what that is. Thanks for putting your information on line. Great job. Shirl |

Hi Julia, LOL you know I never thought to sign your guest book before. Like you mentioned, I was one of those people who just skipped over the geneology of th bible so I'm afraid I don't have any insight to offer you. Have you submitted it anywhere? I think an editor of a biblical publication would be able to give you all sorts of feedback. If you have written any other pieces, I'd love to read them. Mike |

Hi Julia, I enjoyed your theological study and your sense of humor regarding the "begats." Maybe God did create the pattern just so your paper would work out! Ha ha. It's surprising to read these biblical figures fathered sons at such late ages. They didn't exactly have birth control back then. Was every woman barren? Was this the running joke of the Old Testament? I guess if you're going to live 900 years you don't exactly want to raise an army of kids. Imagine trying to remember everyone's birthdays! Oh, and the line to get into the bathroom... er. outhouse -- forget about it! ;-) Ken (also from Manhattan's Upper Eastside) |

Hello! A very fascinating website! My personal opinion about the age of the Patriarchs going from 900+ to about 120 years, in addition to changes in the atmosphere that you advance, was the introduction of MEAT into the diet and eventually significant consumption. Also, Adam had a body that had no been polluted by the contaminants of this world. I realize that Cain was a "hunter", but most of Adam's posterity were vegetarians. If I receive any meaningful insights to your bigger Question, I will email you. THANK YOU again for your careful and stimulating work!!! Jason Roundy |

Hi,your website is very interesting. I've never quite understood the whole geneology that is listed in the Bible but understand there is a significant importance to it all or God would'nt have taken the time to show us.I'm fascinated by all the hidden truths and symbolism God uses in His word.Even in the book of Proverbs (I think)He tells us it is His right to conceal a matter but our honor to search it out. In your graphs I noticed you did not mention the lineage of Cain ( father of the Kenites).I am currently studying this in relation to how the devil's seed and humanistic doctrine continued after the flood. On the subject of Cain, what do you think about Cain and Abel being twins? The text to look at is Genesis 4:2 where it says "And she again bare his brother Abel." Key word being "again". I feel this may also have spiritual meaning in that Esau and Jacob were twins, Esau being the first and later cursed and Jacob, the father of the nation of Isreal, being the second. Hope to hear |

i was searching the internet for pictures of the tabernacle and came across your page. wow! what an incredible amount of work your have done! in a day when people are searching for the key to staying young... I praise God that even now He has shortened our lives so that we do not have to stay in this evil world for so long!!! even so, come quickly!Lord Jesus!! what may be amazing is that the older people of the OT pre-flood days probably did not appear to have aged as our older people do today...I pray that God blesse your efforts and that the HS speaks to someone's heart as they see the amazing comparisons and realize the truth...God and His incredible plan!! I am not so smart as to figure these things out and I am grateful that God has enabled "a few" to open up do this kind of work...and to share it...May God bless you richly!!! |

Read your exploritory work into Biblebegats. Looked at photo album of you, not the whole family. I figured there's no point in meeting thew whole family since we're not going to date anyhow. I'm in dating language GU (geographicly undesireable)since I live in Tampa. We do have something in common. You used to walk across the Brooklyn bridge and I drove over it picking up food for the Christian food pantry in Wayne NJ. As far as Mensa goes, I went to a couple of meetings and still don't know what they do other than socialize and eat fried chicken. Had a friend in NJ who was in Mensa who was so brilliant that she had an answer for each argument for becoming a christian. She read every book that explains the Bible from a non-believers point of view. I may not see her up with the Big Guy when the time comes. Ok, I don't know if you've been to Bible school but here's something to think about. We know there are no mistakes in the Bible, right? How do you explain the two differen |

Hello Julia, I have surfed into your homepage from your guestbook, picked up by a search engine, thanks to Edgar's earlier comment "..you look very nice..". I agree with him! I would like to add a link to your homepage from my "experimental" website, which is mostly a list of links to personal homepages of nice girls. Could you drop in and have a look, and maybe let me know if that would be OK with you? Somehow (after reading a bit into your website) I suspect not, but hey it's always worth asking.. I'm definitely not into religion or history and I find it impossible to believe that men could live so long, but after all one would need to have a bit of faith even to believe that men didn't actually live so long! I like the way you present your theories :) |

You said you read the Bible through as a book, and you end up with a new field of study: theodemographics. It's amazing what the Mensa mind will uncover, or, should I say, peel back as an onion. . . Well, you've given me hope, as I have yet to sire an heir. And, while the data isn't available yet as to what God might be doing in this age, if I use good ol', ol', ol', very ol' Methusalah as a point of reference, I've still got lots of time! I'm now living and teaching Latin and English to middle and high schoolers (does that make me eccentric by definition?)in the Princeton, New Jersey area, though I spent four years previously down in Virginia, in Fairfax County. Several of my former students are now at JMU, and a few are waiting to hear. I'm orginally from NYC, the Other East Side (Lower), but attended school and all those things just north of the City in Westchester, where I'll be heading either later this evening (12/16) or tomorrow. Then I'm heading down to VA for a spel |

Julia: Thanks for this most interesting observation. There is a sweet story of missionaries to the Phillipines who ministered for years to a previously unreached people. They were translating the Bible for them, and when they got to the begats in Jesus' geneology, an old man who was helping them with the language got very excited and hung a poster of the family lineage on the wall; it was a break through for his believing the gospel because it coincided with a cultural tradition in that region. The name of this fascinating missions story is "And the Word Came with Power." My daughter is taking a college class on the book of Genesis. We both like th visuals you put together. Again, thank you. Jeanne and Rima |

A bit bored here, so I was checking out your site again, started an Opendiary too, joining that growing legion. *distant crowd chanting 'one of us, one of us'*. Only checked out a couple of the diaries so far. Mostly seems like a lot of folks looking for free therapy; teenagers suffering through awkward years, divorcees, alternative lifestile types, etc. Some pretty interesting stuff too though. |

Hi, Thanks so very much for the information I rec'd from you, I really have gotten into the begats and family history as well as the age and length of life of the men in the beginning of time. I really have learned more than I think I could have without you page, THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!! If I could meet you in person I would hug your neck. I want to compile what I have found else where, and what I have from you and then compare the two and see how long it took me to gather mine verses what you already had. I am new at interneting and just happen to stumble across your page doing a search on gegats, so I am sure there are more web sites out there, I have been using Crosswalk.com, to gather most of my info, if there is more out there would you e-mail them to me. I was told the other night I have a mission, (by my sister, she says the Jesus has a mission for me), not sure what I'm supose to do but have opened my heart and gonna do what ever he tells me. Thanks for listening and all |

Greetings from San Antonio, TX. You have made a great impression on us Christian men. You are a woman of beauty, talent, and strong morals. You are quite the chameleon in your picture presentation, I must add. Best wishes, Joseph Paul ...the dreams of Joseph ...the zeal of Paul |

You're very interesting. We have alot in common-although I think your spiritual views are a bit rigid. My heritage is 7/8ths Jewish and I was educated in that faith.I've also studied christian religions on the graduate level. I accept the messianic tradition of the old Testament. I accept that it is possible that Jesus was the messiah an that it is also possible that he was not. As a matter of historical fact at the time of Jesus' life there were others who claimed to be the messiah, some of whom were also crucified. Ultimately its a question of faith and belief not of scientific or "absolute certainty". Moreover it seems questionable that assuming, arguendo, that Jesus was the messiah, that a hit man who is otherwise devout in his christian beliefs would deserve a higher spot(if one at all) in heaven than that of a devout Jew who believes in the messianic tradition (but not in Jesus) and who spends his time on good works.[are there concentric circles of heaven as in hell according |

Hi Julia, It's so refreshing to see someone stick by their guns, in reguards to your Christian beliefs. I agree with you that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to heaven. He is my Lord and my Savior! I like your work on the Patriarch Lineage -- well done. You have a very nice website. I like your pictures; my favorites are: "breakfast at the Luncheonette", "Julia by Fireplace", "Julia's tonsils", and "Julia in the Dining Room". You seem like you'd be a fun person to be around. Well got to go. Take care and God bless! |

Hi, Julia! Your site was very interesting- I came upon it while looking for information on historical longevity data for a course I'll be teaching in pathophysiology. With all the technological "advances" made in science and medicine, it's always impressed me that LIFESPAN has not significantly increased in the modern era. As a research scientist, I'm very interested in biochemical influences on longevity (telomeres, non- enzymatic glycation, etc.); as a naturopath and Christian I enjoy trying to reconcile current medical theory with biblical TRUTH. I've always thought it quite interesting that the dramatic decline in the post-flood lifespan also coincided with the introduction of MEAT into the diet of man. By the way, any thoughts on the Nephilim? Yours truly, Tom Farruggella Newburgh, NY |

Julia: Interesting research. I spent eight years studying philosophy with the Jesuits and would love to discuss your work in more detail some time. Perhaps a comparative analysis might shed additional perspectives on your thesis. I'm curious--of all the subjects in the scriptures to research why did you choose this one? It is fascinating, but doesn't seem to focus in on the key controversial issues in contemporary theological debate. That's not a criticism at all--I am simply curious as to you prositions on other scriptural topics that are somewhat more controversial and equally fascinating. Warmest regards, Richard |

Very interesting perspective - had looked at the overlapping lives due to advanced ages and arrived at some of the marvels of those considerations, but not in application to Abraham and his difficulty in believing in conception in much later years. Good job. May the Lord bless you and grant you continued hunger for His Word. |
